This series of photographs documents the visible and invisible hybridisation of the Israeli-Palestinian domestic sphere with military means of security and modes of conflict. Camouflaged by daily routine, warfare is a decisive factor in the construction of households, here echoed through architectural details, forming physical manifestations of their political nature, as well as its condition. These are contrasted by screenshots taken from various sources, capturing the unfamiliar realm of Palestinian domesticity representations not shown in Israeli news outlets. Functioning as a visual research, the series formulates archetypes of unintentional aesthetics, through the act of abstraction: a deconstruction of a familiar space to uncover its cultural-political incentives.
