Conservatorium
Yaron Israel Architects, 2016–2017

Entry for an architectural competition for a new public center in suburban Jerusalem.

The design provides music students with terraced spaces that facilitate focused practice and performance while promoting interaction with the natural landscape. These terraces create layered outdoor environments that enhance the auditory experience, allowing musicians to engage deeply with their art in a dynamic setting. The music library and cafeteria are oriented toward the valley, inviting patrons to enjoy scenic views while immersing themselves in the vibrant sounds emanating from the conservatorium. The outdoor stairs function as a public topographic urban landscape. Passersby are invited to explore various viewpoints and soundscapes.
