In the wake of social distancing, an opportunity arose to reimagine urban space, both now and for the future. The restrictions during the pandemic left our streets quiet, prompting a focus on our studio's private garden, which became a venue for connection - blurring the lines between inside and outside.

As part of the installation for ‘Exit Strategies: Art Works in the Public Sphere,’ the studio transformed its courtyard into a space for hospitality, signaling the reopening of the public realm. Inspired by the tradition of housewarming, the gate was opened to invite passers-by to engage with an elongated guest table extending from the yard to the street. This domestic element is transformed into multi-seat furniture, unlocking access to a shared space.
The entrance serves as a threshold between the public and private spheres. Inside, a water fountain symbolizes nourishment, while an analog clock hung at the entrance reflects the interplay of time spent together, marking moments shared within such a transitional space.
